The second installment of The Color Series.

At the age of 5, my room was yellow; a vibrant light.
At the age of 7, I drew on the wall with a dull, gray pencil.
I quickly tried to erase it,
but the wall was tainted
The more I tried to fix it, the less yellow I saw.
The dull gray remained; it has been there ever since.
I began to find comfort in the dullness.
I tried to paint over it, for I knew it shouldn’t stay this way. Still and all, the gray remains.
I suppose I’m okay with it.
