How I Conceal Dark Circles/Bags Under My Eyes
Hi everyone! For today’s post, I wanted talk about a part of my everyday makeup routine, concealing dark circles. I have two different methods of doing this step, and I’m gonna share both of them with you!
Probably my favorite thing to do to conceal dark circles is color correcting. The shades, peach, orange, and red work best on darker skin tones. These shades neutralize the purple and dark brown discoloration that is often found in dark skin. If you’re a lighter skin tone, yellow and peach tones will work better for you. L.A. Girl Pro Concealer has some really nice color correcting shades, as well as Cover FX. Both of these color correctors come in different shades , like green and purple, which can be used to correct other areas of the face. After this step, I conceal with my L.A. Girl Pro Concealer in the shade Chestnut.
This next one is something I just tried the other day, and I actually really like it. So the Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector was sent to me as part of the “Healthy Skin for the Holidays” campaign with Neutrogena, and I was really hesitant to use it because the product only comes in three shades: fair, light, and medium. So I just kinda left the product in the box, and didn’t open it besides swatching it. But the other day and I decided to give it a shot, and the result wasn’t too bad! After priming my skin, I applied a little bit of product under each eye, then blended it out using a damp beauty blender. After blending it out, you could still see that the color was there, it looked kinda of like a white primer. I then put my L.A. Girl Pro Concealer in the shade Chestnut on top, and blended it out using the same damp beauty blender mentioned above.
Those are the two methods I use to conceal my dark circles! I really like writing posts like these, were I break down parts of my routine and show you how I do them, and you all seem to like them as well! I’ll be back next week with two more posts, so subscribe to be notified when they’re up!
